Bayou Boogaloo Festival is Looking for Volunteers

The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo Festival is looking for volunteers! Volunteers will greet people coming into the festival, hand out maps, screen for outside coolers or beverages, and solicit donations. If we gather 14 volunteers together, the Neighborhood Partnership Program with the MotherShip Foundation will give our neighborhood association either $715.00 or 33 % of donations (whichever is higher) collected during festival hours. Volunteers will be provided with tee shirts and water. Volunteers will be stationed at the following intersections:
1. Lafitte and N. Jeff Davis
2. Toulouse and N. Jeff Davis
3. Orleans and N. Jeff Davis
4. Orleans and Moss St.
5. Dumaine and Moss St.
6. Moss St. and Elaine Place

The Festival is taking place May 16-18, 2014. Volunteer shifts will be about three hours long per shift. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Jessica at, and your name will be added to the list of possible volunteers. If we get 14 people or more, we will be eligible to share in the donations!
