Final date set for Planning Charrette

Dear PNA members and neighbors,

A planning charrette has been scheduled to garner input from stakeholders on the 500 N. Carrollton Ave. development (the old Home Depot).

The charrette will take place on Monday May 18th at The Cannery on Toulouse St.. 6pm registration and group building; work session starts promptly at 6:30 pm; ends at 8:30 pm.

Stakeholder groups invited to attend include: The Parkview Neighborhood Assoc., The Mid City Neighborhood Organization, and The Friends of Laffite Corridor.

Jennifer Farwell, of the Mid City HDLC Study Committee and founder of Coalition Against Unsympathetic/Suburban Encroachment (CAUSE) will facilitate the charrette.

UNO planning students have volunteered to attend the charrette and assist with collecting the stakeholder input. Additionally, they will prepare a counter proposal for the plan/layout of the property, which will be based on the stakeholder input and be presented to the development team.
